1. Acceptance of terms
By accessing or using the Coerced UK website (coerced.org.uk), you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree, please leave the site.
2. Purpose of the site
Coerced UK is an independent research organisation. This site publishes findings about institutional failures in responding to coercive and controlling abuse. It is not a helpline, legal service, or emergency resource.
3. Content and accuracy
We strive for accuracy and cite our sources. However:
- Some statistics are placeholders pending confirmed sources (clearly marked)
- Survivor accounts are anonymised and may be edited for clarity
- We do not provide legal, medical, or financial advice
4. Submissions
When you submit content (stories, contact forms, newsletter sign-ups):
- You retain ownership of your content
- You grant us permission to use it for research and publication (with your consent)
- You confirm the content is truthful to the best of your knowledge
- You understand we may anonymise or edit for safety and clarity
5. Safety and quick exit
The site includes a "Quick exit" button that redirects to Google and clears your session history. This is a safety feature for readers who may be in unsafe situations. We cannot guarantee complete digital safety — please also clear your browser history and use private browsing if needed.
6. Intellectual property
Content on this site (text, graphics, logos) is owned by Coerced UK or used with permission. You may not reproduce, distribute, or modify content without written consent, except for fair use (quotation with attribution).
7. External links
We link to external organisations (support services, sources). We are not responsible for their content or practices.
8. Limitation of liability
Coerced UK provides information "as is" without warranties. We are not liable for any damages arising from use of this site or reliance on its content.
